Lake Sevan is a pearl of Armenia and a natural site of world level. This high-mountain lake (about 2000 meters above sea level), according to ancient Armenian legend, \"served as a bowl from which stars and gods drank water”. Sevan is surrounded by many temples built in a unique style of Armenian architecture, not found anywhere else in the world. Some scientists believe that the lake was named after the ancient temple of Sev Vank, situated on the northwestern shore of the lake. No wonder that Sevan is not only the unique monument of nature, but also a cultural, tourist and religious center of Armenia
