Muang Boran is the world's largest outdoor museum. The huge piece of land is roughly in the shape of Thailand, and many original and reproductions of buildings, monuments, statues, and even a mountain are positioned where they would relative to the same place in Thailand. Some of the buildings are life-size copies of existing or former sites, while others are one-third size. Some buildings are even authentic, moved here for preservation. Other genuine buildings have been transported to recall traditional scenes of Thai life, such as the market of Yesteryear, the Floating Market and the Northern Thai Hamlet. Another side of Ancient City is the beautiful gardens, some of them describing Thai legends with bronze horses flying over waterfalls and suchlike.
