Krabi is an ideal destination swarming with natural attractions including white sandy beaches, fascinating coral reefs, numerous large and small islands and green forests with caves and waterfalls. Due to the influence of the tropical monsoon, there are only two seasons; the rainy season from May to December and the hot season from January to April. Temperatures range between 17 °C and 37 °C. Krabi is the location of world class beaches Ao Nang, Tonsai Beach, Hat Yao and Hat Rai Le which offer numerous diving trips, restaurants, shops etc. Easily accessible by boat from Krabi the Phi Phis have almost deserted white-sand beaches and green cliffs jutting from the water.

Krabi Town is beautiful and relaxed. It boasts a well developed tourist infrastructure of first class hotels, excellent restaurants, plenty of tour operators, lively night entertainment and endless activities. It’s situated near the mouth of the Krabi River. The river runs through a large expanse of wilderness before reaching the sea and is world renown for bird watching and for quality of its mangrove forest. Wat Tham Seua (Tiger Cave Temple) situated 5 km from Krabi Town is a small temple built inside a long shallow limestone cave, surrounded by natural forest. The temple, one of the south's most famous meditation centres, takes its name from a stone formation nearby which resembles a tiger's claw. Today about 250 monks and nuns live in the temple compound.
