Cordoba, the second largest city of Argentina, was built in 1573. The University of San Carlos was founded there in 1621. Now it is the second university of South America.
The most interesting sights of the city are cathedrals and churches, and the Provincial History Museum is considered to be the most important historical museum of Argentina.
A little to the north of Cordoba there is the archaeological park of Sierra Colorado, where one can see Indian’s ancient paintings and sacred places. Many interesting sights and monuments are offered to excursion tours enthusiasts.
