Albena, one of the most modern resorts of the northern coast of Bulgaria, is situated on the territory of the national reserve "Balata" - a rare combination of sea and liana forest (the way from Varna takes about 50 minutes). Albena, in contrast to the neighboring Golden Sands resort, is quiet and peaceful place for family holidays. The resort is popular as a place of known health and spa center.
Hotels in Albena have mainly a large territory, some have tennis courts and soccer fields. Many of them are specialized on vacation with children. The beach with fine golden sand bordered by lush greenery and magnificent forest, has a 5 km in length and 150 m in width.
There are a lot of cozy restaurants, cafes, discos and sports facilities (there's even a horse-base). Nightclubs offer rich show programs. For children Albena suggests an amusement park, carting, skateboards school, water carting, mini golf, children's discos. There is also mini-train of five or six cabins, in which you can get to the beach.
