Main Performers of the Vaasa Choir Festival 2013 Confirmed

Vaasa Choir Festival will be held once again on the week of Ascension Day from 8th to 12th May 2013. The duties of Artistic Director will be carried out by the Festival Committee’s new member, musician-composer-music teacher Eero Paalanen from Vaasa.

The main performers of this 21st festival have been confirmed; Äijä (FI/SE), male choir Seminaarinmäen Mieslaulajat, Tapiola Children’s and Youth Choir 50 years & Cor Infantil de l’Orfeó Catalá (ES), Mikrokosmos (FR), How Many Sisters & Kirmo Lintinen & Vaasa City Orchestra, Kimmo Blom: Killer Queen, the Musical Frog Theatre.

Ticket sales for the five-day long festival will begin on the 1st March. As has become the tradition, audiences can also enjoy free concerts, for example, in the Rewell Center shopping complex. The registration period for choirs will end on 31st January 2013.
