BVCB in Utrecht / Forthcoming leisure marketing activity
BVCB at Vakantiebeurs Utrecht
BVCB joined Tourism Ireland on the Ireland stand at Vakantiebeurs Utrecht (Jan 9-13). The Titanic-themed stand provided an extra opportunity to raise Belfast and Northern Ireland’s profile in this key travel market. Also attending were BVCB members Hostelling International and Belfast City Bike Tours.
The NI 2012 programme, the Titanic Centenary commemorations, opening of Titanic Belfast and the new bmibaby service into George Best Belfast City Airport, meant there was plenty to inform both travel media, travel trade and the Dutch travelling public considering travelling to Ireland. Vakantiebeurs is the biggest travel show in the Benelux region – 126,279 visitors came to the show this year, up 3% on last year. The Europe section was the most popular area for visitors and Britain and Ireland ranked within the top 10 stands visited.
