BVCB and its tourism partners joined travel trade from across Ireland on the Tourism Ireland stand at the World Travel Market at the ExCel Conference Centre (7-10 November). The four day business-to-business event is the premier global event for the travel industry and represents a high profile opportunity to promote Belfast as a vibrant city break destination to influential travel professionals from across the globe.
BVCB also unveiled its new style Belfast Visitor Guide for 2012, the revamped ‘About Belfast’ events guide and the specially commissioned Titanic Guide at the World Travel Market.
Representatives from Belfast City Council, Lisburn City Council, Titanic Belfast, SS Nomadic, Failte Feirste Thiar, Ulsterbus and Belfast City Sightseeing joined BVCB on the stand this year.
With the launch of the £97m Titanic Belfast building and opening of the £18m Metropolitan Arts Centre (the MAC); as well as the 2-month Titanic 100 commemorations and other global events including a return to the city by MTV next June, 2012 promises to be an exciting year for tourism - not only to Belfast and Northern Ireland but for the island of Ireland. So much so, that it has shaped the design of Tourism Ireland’s overall stand for the event.
Additionally, the stand was named \"best stand for doing business\" at World Travel Market.
