С 4 по 6 июня в городе уже состоялся известный на всю страну фестиваль рок-музыки Ruisrock.

С 18 по 19 июля в Турку пройдет фестиваль субкультур H2O. Место проведения фестиваля - заброшенная судоверфь на острове Руиссало. Старая верфь, пропитанная индустриально-романтической атмосферой, на два дня превратится в площадку для тяжелой финской альтернативной музыки и интригующих иностранных иполнителей. С июля на фестивале Down By The Pier Турку примет ставших всемирно известными финнов - группы Rasmus и Leningrad Cowboys. Во время фестиваля музыка будет звучать на открытых площадках и в клубах города всю неделю.

В августе музыка в Турку зазвучит еще громче. Музыкальный фестиваль Турку, который уже не раз посещал Филармонический оркестр Мариинского театра под руководством маэстро Гергиева, пройдет с 8 по 23 августа. Музыкальный фестиваль Турку соберет более 70 имен, среди которых множество звезд мирового масштаба. Например, Дмитрий Синьковский, скрипач, контртенор и дирижер, которому рукоплещет публика Европы, России, Канады и США.

С 14 по 17 августа в Турку пройдет джазовый фестиваль Турку Джаз. Джазовое лето продолжит Miljazz, который состоится 23 августа.

Не только звезды мирового уровня, но и начинающие музыканты почтят своим вниманием летнюю феерию в Турку. 14 августа в стенах культурного центра Фортуна кортелли в рамках Ночи искусств состоится концерт Рок Академии Турку (проекта, посвященного становлению молодых музыкантов) - Turku Rock Academy Goes Acoustic.
