Ride 4 Trails Motorcycle Rally on Oct. 18–19 and Terlingua International Chili Cook-off Oct. 31–Nov. 2 Bring Visitors En Masse to Big Bend Area
BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK, TEXAS (Sept. 2013) – This fall, guests headed to the Ride 4 Trails Motorcycle Rally, to be held Oct. 18–19, and the 47th Annual Terlingua International Original Chili Cook-off, Oct. 31–Nov. 2, are encouraged to book their rooms, camping and RV sites at Big Bend National Park early. All accommodations for these popular events are booking up quickly.
Big Bend Resorts and Adventures is the official accommodations provider for the Ride 4 Trails event and a portion of the revenues will be donated to Big Bend National Park. Its Motor Inn has 51 non-smoking rooms spread among seven buildings, from a small house to motel units. The Mission Lodge, located across the street from the Motor Lodge, has 35 non-smoking rooms in two buildings and one small apartment. Both accommodations options are located just minutes from the west end of Big Bend National Park. Average rates at these rooms range from $69.95 for double occupancy room to $179 for a large duplex with two bedrooms. Pet-friendly accommodations are also available; additional fees apply.
The RV Park at Big Bend Motor Inn features 131 family-friendly campsites, all with full hook-ups, including basic cable TV, 30 and 50 am electricity, water and sewer hook-ups, pull-through sites, big rig access and wireless Internet access. Nightly rates range from $12 to $32 a night for RV sites and $11 to $16 a night for tent campsites. Rates are based on double occupancy and each additional person above 12 years of age will be charged $3 a night.

In addition, three campgrounds inside Big Bend National Park offer more options for travelers visiting the area for these popular fall events. Campgrounds include Basin Campground, with 63 sites, Cottonwood Campground, with 31 sites and Rio Grande Village with 100 sites.
